Winter Wonderland

You know winter is approaching when the doors to Winter Wonderland are soon to open and that is precisely what is happening! On the 20th November the doors will open to this magical Christmas world!

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, is six weeks of winter festivities, and there is going to be even more than ever on!

The Magical Ice Kingdom will have even more snow and ice sculptures, as you walk through the fairy forest to discover a frozen lake and the ice queen! As you explore the ice palace, sit on thrones and whizzz down the castle slide whilst passing ice sculptures of magical princesses, frozen animals and ogres!

Of course after all that it is essential to pop into Bar Ice, an intimate ice bar, an Arctic environment, where a hand crafted bar, tables, walls and sculptures glisten with ice! The perfect environment for a cocktail or two!

The Ski Zillertal Ice Rink is the biggest in London and is located around the pretty Victorian Bandstand, where there will be live music played throughout the day and night as you take to the ice. If you would rather be swept off your feet then the Giant Observation Wheel is for you, which allows you to gaze at the action from above as it illuminates the London skyline.

For some old fashioned comedy, Zippo’s Circus is back with a special Christmas show – ‘The Perfect Gift’! Zippos star clown Pip is looking for the best Christmas present ever, join him on his search through jugglers, the wheel of death, jaw dropping acrobats, aerialists and The Ringmaster – the perfect family fun Christmas spectacular!

For the evening there is the Cirque Berserk – Adrenaline, a danger filled spectacular combining circus skills with thrilling stunt action. With the world’s most dangerous circus act, the legendary Globe of Terror. Make it a real outing with a VIP box!!

Of course Christmas is not complete without visiting Father Christmas, so he will be in Santa Land, every day with his elves and a sack of prezzies! For the adults, there is a traditional German market with over 200 chalets for all your Christmas shopping!

The Bavarian Village, is where I know I will be spending my time, filled with mulled wine, live music, bratwurst and lots more delicious food and drinks (we love the hot chocolate!) this is the perfect place to warm up after walking around on a cold winter’s day!
