Trick or Treat

It is approaching that time of year again – Halloween! This year falling on a Saturday there is simply no reason not to celebrate it full spooky style and Ellidore have put together a must do Family Halloween guide! For club events or London parties, keep your eyes peeled on the blog or give the Ellidore team a call !
Boo at the Zoo – October 24th – November 1st
Head to London Zoo to see the creepiest of creepy crawlies, learn more about the creepers such as how spiders use their venom, visit the animals and create your own bat mask in the Bat Cave, this is great fun for all the family – and the perfect outing in the run up to Halloween.
Fortnum and Mason’s – October 27th – 28th
Head to world renowned Fortnum and Mason’s this Halloween with plenty of spooky going ons, from fun workshops and demonstrations including dry ice, bubble bombs and slime making as well as creative lantern making workshops, to make gruesome ghost and pumpkin light holders. The kids will love it ! (and why not grab one of their beautiful Halloween hampers to take home with you full of trick or treat surprises!)
Pumpkin Carving – October 26th – October 31st
No Halloween is complete without carving a pumpkin or two! Eltham Palace will be doing exactly this with a pumpkin carving session, as well as storytelling and lots of other craft activities – the perfect place for families with children that love all things arty!
The Making of Harry Potter
For all those Harry Potter lovers, head to the Warner Bros Studio to learn more about the darker side of Rowling’s creation – test your wand skills against a Death Eater and discover how the spell spewers were carved with insight talks with the props team! A perfect spooky Halloween day!
Horse Drawn Halloween Rides
At nights parks turn into dark spooky worlds, and now is your turn to explore it as you head off of a horse drawn carriage for an hour long tour, where you will learn the history of the park, the ghosts and murders of the past. Tuck up under your blanket with a glass of sloe gin and head off into the dark!
Witch Academy at the London Eye – October 24th – October 31st
Enrol your children in Witch Academy this Halloween for a truly remembered Halloween, whilst they master their magical skills by learning spells and spooky facts about the city’s landmarks all whilst viewing the sights from the heights of the London Eye.
London Dungeons – October 1st – November 1st
The London Dungeon is scary all year around, but for Halloween is themed extravaganza transports you to the home of Florence Cook, as she summons ghosts, and transports visitors back to 50 Berkeley Square for a spooky trip back in time! Not for the faint hearted!
For your furry friends
To really include all the family head to Pet Pavillion where pooches will be given spooky makeovers, with costumes including Dracula, Yoda and Batman – then let them enjoy their goodie bags full of treats (even grab some for any trick or treaters who may bring their dog along!)
